SIFF pushes forward, with a busy week of guest appearances, North American and World Premieres, and the Centerpiece Gala screening of Boots Riley's Sorry To Bother You on June 2, a live score presentation at The Triple Door on May 31, featuring the classic film L'inferno, and the Opening Night presentation and gala at the Kirkland Performance Center, featuring The Drummer and the Keeper, on May 31.

THE DRUMMER AND THE KEEPER | 93 Minutes - SIFF concludes their presentations at Lincoln Square in Bellevue tonight, while introducing the slate of films playing at the Kirkland Performance Center. From Ireland, the Opening Night film is The Drummer and the Keeper, sharing the story of a drummer in a rock band, rocked by a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. As he struggles to come to terms with his condition, he becomes friends with a 17-year-old, recently diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome.

EVERY ACT OF LIFE | 94 Minutes - Terrence McNally gets the big screen documentary treatment in a wonderful look at the multiple-time Tony Award winning playwright, whose life is as colorful and fascinating as the productions he has written for the stage.

NONA | 90 Minutes - A searing, visceral drama, Nona tells the story of a Honduran woman who falls for a man, who is headed to the United States. Nona joins him with the hopes of reconnecting with her mother, however she soon finds herself caught up in a journey that she never anticipated possible.

RUST | 100 Minutes - A girl's missing cell phone changes the lives of a number of high school students in Rust, a Brazilian film that becomes a sobering, cautionary tale of school dynamics, politics, and bullying in the age of social media and smartphones.
